RAMP MINISTRY LEADERSHIP DEPARTMENT ASSISTANT

A RML Department Assistant provides valuable service to the School Director by assisting with the practical needs of the School as well as offering valuable insight to students into the world of ministry leadership. Through hands-on training in the specific arenas of discipleship and administration, a RML Department Assistant develops well rounded skills applicable to many aspects of ministry.

Direct Report: Matt Robinson

 

Timeframe and Commitment: August 4, 2024- May 5, 2025 (8-10 weekly hours, the start date is subject to change) 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Assist Director with overall RML experience including organization, communication, planning, and executing experiences related to collaboration among RML concentrations

 

  • Assist Director with any technology prep/needs, grading, note-taking, follow-up, etc connected to  classroom experiences, meetings, and events

  • Grading student assignments

 

  • Act as point of contact for all Concentration Interns, Instructors, RML-related TAs

 

  • Collaborate with RU Admin Team and other School Departments Assistants to facilitate School collaboration with classes, outreaches, ministry opportunities, group leadership as needed.

 

  • Collaborate with RU Student Life Team as needed with admin, communication, and accountability of Student Life Group Leaders as it relates to RML objectives.                                                                                                                                                  

  • Collaborate with the RU Academics Team with communication and accountability for students in need of additional resources, tutoring, or specialized instruction within RML

 

  • Personally invest into RU 1st and 2nd Year Students as needed or assigned

 

  • Attend regular and impromptu Ramp and RU staff meetings

As an RML Department Assistant, you will have hands-on ministry experience, specifically in the arenas of service, administration, evangelism, and discipleship. This will further your understanding of multiple facets of ministry and how they impact the individual Christian walk and the global church. You will strengthen your abilities within administration and practical ministry, and receive personal discipleship, teaching, and relational investment from RU staff and faculty.
